As a case officer at the Office for the General Council and Coreper 1, you will work with various types of EU issues. Primarily, it will involve being the contact person for EU issues with one or more ministries, preparing materials, and participating in the preparations for the political leadership's meetings and incoming visits. Other tasks may be added.

Desired qualifications

You have an academic degree and experience working with EU issues. Experience working with EU matters in the Government Offices is an advantage. Since the tasks will primarily concern the areas of the Ministry of Rural Affairs and Infrastructure, knowledge of agricultural, forestry, transport, or cohesion policy is particularly meritorious. You have good knowledge of and preferably experience with the EU's negotiation processes. Knowledge of the Government Offices' organization and working methods and an understanding of what is required in a politically governed organization is an advantage. Experience from representation in Brussels or EU institutions is also meritorious.

Your qualities

We are looking for someone who is self-driven, flexible, and has an easy time collaborating. You thrive in a role with many points of contact, and you have excellent collaborative skills and a good ability to establish and maintain contacts. You are structured with good judgment. The work places high demands on your communication skills and your ability to create consensus on issues that affect many. You can express yourself easily both verbally and in writing in Swedish and English.

The position is a temporary appointment from April 1, 2026, to January 31, 2027. The position is placed in a security class, and a security review with a background check will be conducted before a hiring decision is made. You must be a Swedish citizen but may have a foreign background.
